Intervene is a short, narrative-driven game about moral choice, responsibility, and timing.

You play as an ordinary person who suddenly gains the ability to freeze time — but only when the world around you becomes chaotic. In these frozen moments, you are given a limited window to move, observe, and decide whether (and how) to intervene. When time resumes, the consequences of your choices unfold immediately.

The game asks a simple question: Just because you can intervene — does that mean you should?

Gameplay

  • Exploration-based decision making under strict time limits
  • Multiple events are scattered across different scenes
  • One-time choices — once you act, you cannot undo it
  • No right answers, only outcomes

Themes

  • Moral Ambiguity
  • Responsibility and Intervention
  • Limitations of Control
  • Violence, Inaction, and Consequences

The game does not reward speed or skill, but focuses on reflection. It is deliberately short, designed to put viewers under pressure to make moral choices, prompting reflection and re-choices afterward.

Controls

  • WASD – Move
  • E – Interact
  • ESC / Mouse Clicks – Close Lists
  • Mouse Clicks –  Make Choices
  • (Controls are shown in-game as well)

Really interesting theme! It would great to disable the arrow key controls though, since having them active can be a bit confusing:)
